Why choose Heatstrip electric radiant heaters for your outdoor or hard-to-heat indoor area?

As there is typically constant air movement in an outdoor or open indoor area, many conventional patio heaters rely on convection heating which works by heating the surrounding air. This can be quite impractical for these areas, as this heated air can easily blow away with natural air movement. Radiant style heaters transfer heat directly to objects through infra-red waves.

Whilst convection heaters heat the air in between objects, radiant heaters heat the surface of the objects themselves. Heatstrip electric radiant heaters are more effective within an outdoor or uninsulated indoor area because they provide targeted warmth directly to the people and objects in their path.

How does it work?

Comfortable radiant warmth from above! Similar to the radiant heat rays emitted by the Sun, the ceiling mounted Heatstrip Classic range of heaters emits radiant warmth from above. A unique electric heating element and alloy heating surface produces even, radiant warmth directly to individual people and surfaces below. Unlike traditional outdoor gas heaters, which aim to heat the surrounding air and can result in high temperatures close to the heat source and lower temperatures further away, the radiant heat emitted by the Heatstrip Classic penetrates through the air to provide a comfortable, even temperature.

Design flexibility

Four Heatstrip Classic models are available from 1500W to 3200W, ensuring the heating requirements of any undercover outdoor or open indoor area are met. Brackets for direct ceiling or wall/ceiling angled mounting are supplied as standard. Optional Heatstrip accessories include beam or fixed umbrella mount brackets, extension mount brackets, chain suspension brackets, twin mount brackets and flush mounting enclosures.

The Heatstrip Classic incorporates no internal moving parts ensuring quiet and virtually maintenance free operation.

Designed, engineered and assembled in Australia the Heatstrip Classic is fully backed by a 24 month residential warranty, and 12 month commercial warranty. Local service and support provides piece of mind.

Easy to use

The standard Heatstrip Classic is controlled by a simple on/off operation, either when plugged directly into a power point, or hard-wired via a wall mounted on/off switch. Models THH1500A, THH1800A & THH2400A are supplied with a lead and plug and can be connected to a normal domestic power point, making it an easy DIY installation. Model THH3200A requires hard-wiring by a qualified electrician to a 15amp power supply.

Corrosion Protection

The unique alloy casing material allows the heater to be used in corrosive environments such as coastal/seaside locations, outdoor kitchens and around saltwater pools etc.

Control Options

It is recommended to install your Heatstrip heater with a timer controller to ensure the unit is turned off after a preset time. Thermofilm recommends Model TT-MTM controller, which includes a timer function (1/2/4 hour) and temperature control (High/Medium/Low).

Classic is simple and easy with the standard mounting brackets supplied. For other more challenging locations there are range of mounting options available.

Important Information About Your Delivery

Thank you for your purchase. As a locally owned business, your support is appreciated.

To ensure we give you the best delivery experience, please read through the following information.

Customer Service is important to us, we offer two delivery options:

Standard Delivery - (Door to Door Only)

Premium Delivery - (Deliver, Unpack, Placement, Check Product, Takeaway Rubbish)

Call one of our Online team on (03) 9809-2222 to discuss the best delivery option suitable for your location and product.

Before the delivery day:

  • Please check all details on your invoice are correct including your phone number, delivery address and delivery date.
    If you need to make an adjustment, please do not hesitate to contact your salesperson or the Warehouse Team.
  • It is VERY important to double check your new appliance measurements. 
    Are you sure that it will fit through ALL doors, hallways, stairwells, and cavities?
  • Prepare/ protect any wooden floors if your delivery is a large heavy appliance.
  • Have you advised the delivery team if there are any stairs and how many stairs?
  • Make sure that cars and other obstacles are not blocking our delivery vehicle or trolley.
  • Whilst our team love pets, please ensure that your pets are placed in an enclosed area out of harm’s way for the duration of the delivery.
  • If we are removing an old appliance, have you advised the delivery team that this service is required? As removal and disposal may incur additional charges.
    Prior to the delivery team arriving, the old appliance must be emptied and disconnected from electricity and water so it can be safely taken away.
    We will remove one old item for every new item being delivered, however, we are not able to re-deliver them to another address

What to expect on the day:

  • The Warehouse Team will contact you before 9.30am to provide you with an estimated delivery window.
  • Please ensure you are home at this time as additional charges may apply for a redelivery
  • If you have paid for installation of a fridge or washing machine, the team will unbox prior to entering your premises to avoid unnecessary mess
  • For fridges we do not remove doors, attach handles or connect plumbing.
    Please contact us if you need these additional services.
  • Washing machines & dishwashers can only be connected to existing power.
    Due to liability issues, the property owner is required to attach the appliance to the water supply.

What our delivery staff cannot do:

  • Remove their safety boots.
  • Perform any carpentry, electrical or plumbing work.
  • Lift any heavy items over banisters, obstructions or through windows to deliver merchandise.
  • Remove doors or other fixtures.
  • Enter a residence unaccompanied.
  • Re-deliver your old products to another address.
  • Connect audio visual systems.
  • Leave unpaid items in your home.
  • Adjust or connect any existing products.
  • Return to collect unwanted packaging or old products.

Stock Availability

We do not have stock levels on our website.  This is due to carry such a large range of products, some products are supplied direct from the supplier and some are from our warehouse.

When you place your order it may be in our warehouse or we may need to source it from our suppliers.

Each order is MANUALLY processed, when you place your order, the stock availability is checked.   Within 24hours, if there is a supply issue, one of our friendly Online Product Specialists will then call you to confirm your order and advise you as to the stock availability.

If we cannot contact you we will either leave a voicemail message or send you an email with the relevant information.

Returns Policy

We all know that sometimes when you make a purchase, you get it home and it's not quite right.

Since January 2011, you have the right to ask for a repair, replacement or refund if goods or services you buy has problems. We are more than happy to provide a refund should the goods you purchased be:

  • Faulty or unsafe
  • Does not match the sample or description
  • Does not do what we said it would in writing – or requested it to do in writing

Our Returns Policy includes the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law and provides you with additional benefits in addition to those rights, because your satisfaction is important to us.

If your goods remain new in a box, unopened and the packaging is in a saleable condition, you may return them within 30 days from your original purchase date for a refund.

Where goods have been unboxed, a 20% restocking fee (20% of the goods purchase price) will apply, the goods must be un-used and not have been connected. We do not accept returns for goods that have been used or damaged. We charge the restocking fee to cover return costs.

A collection fee of $40 or the amount of a delivery (whichever is greater) will be charged to collect your goods. If you arrange for your goods to be collected, it may take up to 5 business days to arrange.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

All refunds will be issued when goods have arrived back to Camberwell Electrics warehouse and have been assessed by the Warehouse Manager.
Proof of purchase will be required before the goods can be returned.

We are unable to accept the return, if the goods are found to have fault, or that the goods have been damaged.

At Camberwell Electrics, we always take a fair and reasonable approach to assess your returned good.

Camberwell Electrics cannot accept returns purchased from another BETTA / Designer Appliances store.

Approved refunds will be processed to the same account that the purchase was made from.
