WINE CABINET TECHNOLOGY
Vintec and Transtherm Wine Cabinets have been designed to replicate the temperature, humidity, darkness and vibration-proof conditions found in the best natural underground cellars. They allow wines to mature slowly so that the different elements which make up wine can coalesce into a complex balance — for your drinking pleasure!
Temperature Control System
Constant temperature is critical for the maturation of wines; daily or weekly temperature fluctuations denature wines and create “spoiled fruit” flavours.
Vintec and Transtherm Wine Cabinets maintain stable temperatures thanks to: 1) interaction between a compressor and a thermostat, 2) insulated side panels, 3) triple-glazed doors.
Imperceptible vibrations can spoil wine as they cause it to age prematurely.
To protect the quality of your wine, Vintec and Transtherm Wine Cabinets create a vibration-proof environment by including the following: 1) an externally-housed compressor, 2) rubber shock absorbers, 3) vibration absorbing wooden shelves.
Protection from Light
All light is damaging to wine, but UV light in particular, as it creates hydrogen sulphide compounds in wine and affects the tannins and the colour of wine.
Vintec and Transtherm Wine Cabinets eliminate this threat by incorporating: 1) UV-treated tinted glass doors, 2) dark interiors, 3) dimmed LED lights.
Too little humidity means corks will dry out and shrink, subjecting wine to oxidization.
Vintec and Transtherm Wine Cabinets incorporate a Thermal Pump System that ensures adequate humidity levels are maintained (55% or greater). The Thermal Pump works by heating condensed water, which is then introduced as humid air within the cabinet.
Frequent Air Circulation
Without constant air circulation, mould will grow on the corks and the labels, and the air inside the wine cabinet will become stale.
Vintec Wine Cabinets include internal and external fans to ensure that there is a slow reticulated air flow throughout the cabinet. The larger Vintec models also include a carbon filter to limit any odours penetrating the cabinet.

We do not have stock levels on our website. This is due to carry such a large range of products, some products are supplied direct from the supplier and some are from our warehouse.
When you place your order it may be in our warehouse or we may need to source it from our suppliers.
Each order is MANUALLY processed, when you place your order, the stock availability is checked. Within 24hours, if there is a supply issue, one of our friendly Online Product Specialists will then call you to confirm your order and advise you as to the stock availability.
If we cannot contact you we will either leave a voicemail message or send you an email with the relevant information.
We all know that sometimes when you make a purchase, you get it home and it's not quite right.
Since January 2011, you have the right to ask for a repair, replacement or refund if goods or services you buy has problems. We are more than happy to provide a refund should the goods you purchased be:
Our Returns Policy includes the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law and provides you with additional benefits in addition to those rights, because your satisfaction is important to us.
If your goods remain new in a box, unopened and the packaging is in a saleable condition, you may return them within 30 days from your original purchase date for a refund.
Where goods have been unboxed, a 20% restocking fee (20% of the goods purchase price) will apply, the goods must be un-used and not have been connected. We do not accept returns for goods that have been used or damaged. We charge the restocking fee to cover return costs.
A collection fee of $40 or the amount of a delivery (whichever is greater) will be charged to collect your goods. If you arrange for your goods to be collected, it may take up to 5 business days to arrange.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
All refunds will be issued when goods have arrived back to Camberwell Electrics warehouse and have been assessed by the Warehouse Manager.
Proof of purchase will be required before the goods can be returned.
We are unable to accept the return, if the goods are found to have fault, or that the goods have been damaged.
At Camberwell Electrics, we always take a fair and reasonable approach to assess your returned good.
Camberwell Electrics cannot accept returns purchased from another BETTA / Designer Appliances store.
Approved refunds will be processed to the same account that the purchase was made from.
